Breakfast club runners
The Breakfast Club is a running club that originated in Jerusalem and has since
opened up new branches in Tel Aviv and Modiin.
.
The Club was officially founded in 2007 and is one of the most well-known and
established clubs in Israel.
.
The Breakfast Club welcomes all runners that would like to improve and train in a
more professional and of course fun environment. The club encourages a Blue
Collar type of running style, by empowering people to outperform their perceived
talent, through hard work. This is partially achieved through several club runners,
who possess an immense amount of knowledge and are more than happy to
share their wisdom.
.
Runs take place at the Givat Ram track in Jerusalem on Monday’s, Park
HaYarkon in Tel Aviv on Wednesday’s and several trail runs around the
Jerusalem and Modiin areas, throughout the week.
There are club runners who have achieved truly magnificent results, ranging from
a 31 minute 10K to a 2:29 marathon. While these achievements are
extraordinary, it is the successes of the ‘ordinary’ runners, who make up the bulk,
which defines the clubs ethos. The ambition and spirit of all the club runners,
enables each individual to realize their true potential.
.
Races which the club focus their involvement in include, the Jerusalem Marathon
(all distances), Bet Shean half marathon, Har Lamemek relay race, ‘running from
the heart’ community project, The Tani run (in memory of Tani Goodman) and of
course all other Israel based running events.
.
There are several English speaking runners from all over the globe, including
England, USA & South Africa.
Great friendships and connections are established at the club. Whether you’ve
made Aliyah or just visiting, it’s a great place to learn the lay of the land through
running!

“They'll speak our names in hushed tones, 'those guys are animals' they'll say!
We can lay it on the line, bust a gut, show them a clean pair of heels. We can
sprint the turn on a spring breeze and feel the winter leave our feet! We can, by
God, let our demons loose and just wail on!”
